Empire Earth is a real-time strategy game that spans about a half a million years of human history, the last 200 of which take place 200 years from now. So if you’re the type who appreciates ambitious game designs, then you’ve found one in Stainless Steel Studios’ first game, which was conceived by the designer of the original Age of Empires. Actually, Empire Earth has a great deal in common with Ensemble Studios’ highly successful Age of Empires series. Even the games’ graphics look similar, though Empire Earth uses a fully 3D engine, unlike Age of Empires. Similarities aside, Empire Earth is a huge game to say the least–it’s much more time-consuming and involved than the typical real-time strategy game, and its staggering variety of units is as impressive as it is intimidating. Real-time strategy is sometimes criticized for favoring shallow, action-oriented gameplay rather than strategic depth–but that’s definitely not the case here. In fact, Empire Earth is best reserved for hard-core real-time strategy players who won’t mind the game’s less-than-stellar graphics and sound but will instead relish the ability to relive 14 different epochs of human warfare.

The Art of Conquest pushes the envelope even further with 3 all new campaigns
from the Roman Empire to WWII and finally into the future. Players have
conquered new lands before, but this time to continue the dominance of their
civilization, they must cross the boundaries of space.
* New “Strategy-Changing” Space Epoch. Conquering Earth is just the first step
to ensuring your civilization’s universal dominance.
* New “Most Requested” Single Player Campaigns. The fans asked for them. We
complied. Play the 3 most requested campaigns - The Roman Empire, World War II
and the new futuristic space campaign.
* New Unique Units, Buildings, Powers and Calamities. New space ships and
docking ports are just the beginning. In Empire Earth: The Art of Conquest, each
of the 21 pre-designed civilizations will gain unique special powers, buildings
or units.
* Upgraded Graphics. New terrains, lighting, water animations, battlefield
scarring and environmental enhancements keep Empire Earth on the cutting edge of
graphics.
* Enhanced Multi-Player. Battle with eight or more friends online. The enhanced
matchmaking system will make grounding them to a pulp so much sweeter.
* More Epic Scope and Depth. Create, build and lead a civilization to transcend
the ages from the beginning of history to Earth’s near future, 2300 A.D.
