Europa Universalis: Rome is the latest game developed by Paradox Interactive. The game was released on 15 April 2008 in North America and on 18 April 2008 in Europe. The game features the period of the Roman Republic Era.
Fredrik Wester, Executive Vice President for Paradox Interactive, stated:
“Our successful development team has the knowledge, skills and genre expertise to create a strong strategy game to accurately represent the Roman Era and we are more than excited to introduce this game to the strategy gaming community."
